Approximately 71,000,000 jobs will likely be automated by the time our kids enter the workplace. Two out of three of our children will be working in jobs that haven’t been invented yet. How can we as a community prepare our youth to thrive in this rapidly changing landscape?
Innovation. We cannot prepare our kids for this future by doing what we have done in the past. It’s 2020, yet our classrooms look the same as they did in 1920. Buckeye Friends School is aligned with the expectations of the modern workplace. We use self-direct-project-based-experiential-learning to help our kids develop their creativity and abilities to collaborate and communicate while giving them the freedom to find out who they are and what they love to do.
Why is this important for our community? People who love what they do impact their world in profoundly positive ways; they tend to be agents of change and joyful. Not only will Buckeye develop these influencers, we will attract them as well by offering an innovative choice for education in our community. By supporting Buckeye, you will be helping to change education for our whole community because innovation lifts the entire system.
